Our kilns of the D.S.R. series are of the double shaft type, with round cross-section and equicurrent gas circulation; this type of kiln is absolutely similar, from a thermodynamic and technological point of view, to our D.S.S. kilns.
Their main peculiarity is the heat distribution system between one shaft and the other.
In these kilns, the passage of hot fumes from one shaft to another does not take place through a single channel, but through a circular channel with several ignitions. This feature makes it possible to optimise the distribution of heat throughout the cross-section of the shaft, avoiding the formation of cold or overheated zones.
Thanks to this particular shape it is therefore possible to obtain kilns with large productions or to fire small-sized limestone without reducing the quality of the lime produced or increasing consumption.
