D.S.S DOUBLE SHAFT SQUARE

TECHNOLOGICAL NOTES

Our D.S.S. kilns are of the double shaft type, with a rectangular cross-section and equicurrent gas circulation.

The fuel is injected by means of two sets of lances that plunge from the top of the kiln into the limestone.

Combustion takes place in alternating cycles in the two kilns.

The particularly favourable conditions of thermal exchange between the combustion fumes and the limestone being decarbonated inside the shaft allow very low fuel consumption and high reactivity of the lime produced.
